Beach Vacation #2
At the end of July, we received notification from our school district that because of COVID, the start of the school year was being pushed back a bit. Typically, our school year is scheduled to start early to mid-August but they ended up pushing us back to the end of the month. Because of that, Kevin and I made a last minute decision to take a second beach vacation. We actually LOVE going in August because the rates go down and the teachers are less crowded. After the year we’ve had this year, a second vacation was warranted, right?
We booked a house in Sunset Beach, NC and had a BLAST. Seriously, I think this was one of my very favorite vacations. It was so laid back.
We brought all of our own meals and only ended up picking up dinner maybe once. We hung out as a family on the porch. We stayed out on the beach until the sun went down. We played putt putt. We rode bikes. We flew kites on the beach. We rode scooters at a park. It was lovely. It was perfect.
Sunset Beach, NC – You were so much fun! I promise we will be back.
