Snow Day in the South: Not Our Normal Friday
Core Childhood Memories Unlocked
Here in the south, we don’t get a lot of snow. In fact, it’s been over 1,000 days since we last saw snow in our area. But this week, the local weather stations have projected snow. Not just any snow though, they were projecting BIG snow.
When I say big, I mean 5-6 inches projected at our house. School was switched to e-learning. We pulled snow gear out of the attic. WE WERE READY and the kids were beyond excited.
The storm wasn’t supposed to really get started until mid-afternoon, so the kids were super patient when we only saw flurries through most of the morning. It turned out to be a productive day because they were able to accomplish their e-learning, and both Kevin and I worked. Around 3:30pm it really started coming down though. For a few minutes anyway. The snow started sticking, and things started turning white. And then it sort of all petered out. Our “BIG SNOW” turned out to be not that much. But we made the most of it!
