Vacation 2021 – Sunset Beach, NC
What. A. Week.
It has been a week to remember. I hope that every year we come home saying “That was the best vacation ever.” but it really was true this year. It was our first as a family of FIVE and while no one will claim it was the most relaxing trip ever (hello? we have an 8 month old), it was so much FUN. We are so thankful for the opportunity to do this trip each summer. God has truly blessed our family.
Kallen was an absolute trouper and napped on the beach in his stroller so we got in quite a bit of beach time. He stayed up late and we played putt-putt one night. Not shocking, Kevin won that competition. Uno games were played. Bikes were ridden. All the girls ate crab legs. Kevin carted twelve tons of beach equipment to the beach and back each day. (Thanks, Kev!)
We typically go to Sunset Beach, NC because we love how laid back and uncrowded the beach typically is. This was the first year we went right before July 4th and we could definitely tell a difference in the crowd. On the plus side, our kids had plenty of friends to play with, and Kevin and I met lots of new people too! It is especially encouraging to meet new people and within just a few minutes of introducing yourself to each other, being asked “Are you believers too?”. This happened to us on at least two occasions this week!
All in all, we had a blast. Here is a quick video of some of our favorites from the week.
