Meet Gracie
A few months ago, we added a kitten to our house. It was kind of spur of the moment. Actually, it was TOTALLY spur of the moment.
You see, my mother-in-law’s cat had kittens and the girls have fallen completely in love with them. They see these kittens daily and one day, I went to pick them up from her house and somehow found myself saying we could take one home.
So, meet Gracie. She has been a great little addition to our family. Since our dog Cooper passed away about a year ago, our other dog Max has been a bit lonely. Gracie has been the best little buddy for him.
And Karsten is in LOVE with this cat. Note that she is holding the kitten in pretty much all of these pictures. Kate, of course, loves the kitten too but she is pretty allergic to cats. She is a trooper and for the most part, she will stay away from Gracie. She’ll play with her with sticks and toys, but not actually touch her. I hate that she has these terrible allergies, but she is learning to deal with them the best she can.
Meanwhile, Karsten is making the most of this kitten stage and if she is outside, she’s most likely holding Gracie. She is definitely an animal lover.

Hi! I am a total lurker here, but wanted to share this. I am SEVERELY allergic to cats, but currently have two kittens in my house. Go to amazon and search for Allerpet-C. This stuff is a miracle for those who love cats and is allergic. It is liquid and you run it down the back of the cat. They lick it and it controls the dander. I do it once a week and I have no reaction to the cats. When I was younger, before I found this, my eyes would swell shut. I hope it works for sweet Kate as well!
