Kallen Catch Up – 2 Months

TWO MONTHS

I always forget just how much a baby changes in a single month, but especially that one from 1 month old to 2 months old. Look at those eyebrows! They finally grew in. Kallen started off as such a tiny little thing (under 6 lbs!) but in just a month, he filled out, and his personality started through. Of our 3 kids, I think he has been the most cuddly baby and also the most content.  He is just so laid back. And, as much as Kevin protests, he is a mama’s boy! He started smiling even more this month and Mama gets ALL THE SMILES.

Picture overload (again) but here are the many changing faces of Kallen from November 10 – December 10.

It’s funny how a baby simultaneously turns your world completely upside down, and yet also slides right in as if they’ve always been there. That’s definitely the case with Kallen. We can’t imagine our family any differently and it’s almost hard to remember the days before him. The verse that I love so much, and applies in our life in so many different ways, definitely fits here:

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.
-Ephesians 3:20

During his 2nd month of life, we celebrated Thanksgiving.  We hosted it at our house this year and my parents, my mother in law, my sister and her family all came over. What a blast.

Baby boy got his first set of shots and overall did pretty well, except his legs got so sore at the injection sites. Mama didn’t realize it and thought he was just being fussy from the shots in general so I tried to give him all of the snuggles. Turns out that made it WORSE because I was pressing on those sore spots. You would think by the 3rd baby I would know some of this stuff by now, but it has been a while!

Since he got his first round of shots, he also got to go to church for the first time!  With this being flu season, along with the other obvious (COVID), and just some general health concerns that we had for him from birth, we followed doctors orders and kept him home for the first 8 weeks. His first Sunday at church was a much celebrated day!

Lastly, here are the OFFICIAL 2 month pictures. I have loved looking back over these monthly pictures of the girls, so the tradition continues (even if I am a few days late taking these pictures every single month.) Can’t leave the 3rd kid out!
