A Visit to Lake Greenwood
Sorry for the picture overload. I took a ton, and I like them, so I’m sharing. 🙂
On Sunday after church, we made a spur-of-the-moment decision to drive to the lake to visit my parents. It’s a little over an hour away, and we hit the road around 2:30ish. We normally get down there for visits fairly frequently, but because of busy season, I hadn’t been home since Christmas. It was a quick trip but a fun one. Kate loved seeing her Gigi and Papa Rick.
My dad caught tons of fish in the past week, and just had to take Kate down to the dock for her first fishing experience. She liked looking in the water and holding the fishing rod, but that was pretty much all she was impressed with.
We were only down on the dock for less than 30 minutes before a rain shower came through, but my dad managed to catch a couple before we went inside.
Kate was less than thrilled with the fish. This was about as close as she got.
See how she’s on her tippy toes, and leaned back as far as she can get? She did not want the fish anywhere near her.
I think we have our work cut out for us if we want to make Kate into a fisher-woman. 🙂

Such a little cutie! I'm sure she'll acclimate if she gets often exposure. That's how it worked for my nephews anyways.
