Summer Snapshots
Like everyone else, this has been the weirdest summer ever. We are usually on the go in the summer- with church activities, trips with the kids, and staying out past bedtime just because we can. Not this year. We have been complete homebodies.
But it hasn’t been boring and has been a completely enjoyable summer in ways that none of the past summers ever were.
We have spent lots of time outside in our yard, or on our porch. Our pets have gotten lots of extra pets and cuddles.
Lots of art projects were completed.
We’ve had lots of family dinners together, and have gotten to go to a few of our local restaurants.
We’ve visited family, and had some fun lake days.
We’ve made our own fun at home. You can never go wrong with sprinklers and slip-n-slides!
And last week, the girls got to go to a camp at our local Children’s Museum. There were super small class sizes (Kate only had 4 in her group!) and they had so much fun. Kate’s was a Harry Potter camp and Karsten’s was a Fantasy camp (with princesses and pirates!). On Friday, I picked them up, we got curbside at Chic-fil-a and took lunch to a local park beside an airport.
We are loving these summer days and making the most of the different!
